Bike Maintenance
Focus on sustainable transportation
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of bike maintenance and people-powered transportation. They will have the opportunity to do some guided bike maintenance of their own - learning how to clean their chains, check their brakes and make sure their tyres have enough air. They'll also learn about cycling safety and come up with ideas to make environmentally friendly transportation more accessible. We'll play games like 'Pin the part on the Bike', ensuring that everyone goes away knowing a little bit more about bikes then they did on the way in.
Venue: If the weather's nice, this is a good workshop to do outside because playing with bikes can get a bit messy. Otherwise, it's good to do this workshop in a hall, where there's a bit of space for manoeuvring bikes around.
If any participants have their own bikes and are able to bring them to the workshop, that's fantastic.
