Cycle Tours

At the heart of the Otesha Project you'll find a two-wheeled revolution.

The UK's first cycle tours hit the road in 2008 and since then teams of volunteers have spent their summers as part of mobile communities cycling all over the place, stopping at schools, youth clubs, festivals and communities along the way to give inspiring, thought-provoking presentations about how our everyday choices can and do impact the world.

Our presentations revolve around the Otesha play, ‘Morning Choices', which explores issues such as food, fairtrade, fashion, banking and transport and stars an eclectic mix of characters such as a compost bin, a banana pirate, Simon Cowell and some organic cheese. Alongside the play, tour members facilitate interactive workshops with smaller groups which explore the issues in greater depth; this can involve anything from bike maintenance to D.I.Y fashion.

Where will we spend our holidays this summer?

Lands' End to John O'Groats - 2nd July - 28th August

While we were pondering where to take our route next year, it struck us like a lightning bolt - why not do THE route - Lands' End to John O'Groats! Expect an epic 8-week cycle ride that hits up schools, youth clubs, festivals and communities the length of Britain, whilst admiring all the beauty this nation has to offer. Toot toot.

If you're between 18-28 years old and you fancy taking part, then find out more about becoming a tour member here.

If Lands' End to John O'Groats isn't your bag, then check out our 10 Day tours - 10 days of jam-packed hands-on volunteering, learning, communal living and learning with like-minded people.

Go on, Rob loved it - just read the postcard he sent us after the Wild West tour...
